Compass Board Member
Phil is a Compass co-owner and Board Member. In December 2020, Phil retired after 16 years as Vice President of Operations at Compass.
Phil joined Compass Compression in 2004, and during that time he helped establish Compass as a leading industry provider of compression and process packages around the world, with more than 350 employees. Phil’s innovative spirit also helped Compass win E&Y’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2011.
Continuous innovation is at the core of everything Phil does, and he is continually looking for ways to refine and enhance operational processes and systems. His creativity and ingenuity were instrumental in visualizing and developing Compass’ state-of-the-art engineering and fabrication facilities which enable Compass to uniquely provide clients with complete, all-in-one, solutions.
Phil’s genuine interest in the industry, hands-on approach, and can-do attitude has helped drive Compass’ ability to continually provide clients with some of the industry’s most complex and innovative compression and process packages and are some of the reasons why Compass maintains a loyal and diverse client base.
Phil’s 30+ year career has been focused on the gas compression industry and he has helped multiple companies establish and grow their businesses. When he was Technical Sales for Eagle Pump and Compression, Phil helped develop and build, in-house pump applications that have been widely adopted by the oil and gas compression industry. During his time at Energy Industries, Phil played a key role in helping them market reciprocating compressors as well as bring their first rotary screw to market.
