Compass is seeking a Project Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting the Project Managers in the successful execution of engineered projects.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Regular customer and internal reporting
- Document transmittals and logs
- Management of project websites
- Planning and scheduling project meetings
- Production, submittal and tracking of change orders
- Monitoring and adjustment of cost forecasts
- Assist in production and revision of business procedures and documentation
- May work with 3rd party inspection and/or EPC firms
- Assists team by researching business and technical issues to establish continuous improvement opportunities
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner
- Attend and participate in project meetings
Required Skills or Tools:
- Proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and PC skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to write concise reports and business correspondence
- Strong team player and able to work with minimum supervision and under pressure.
Preferred Education/Experience:
- 2 years’ experience in a related position
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working with integrated ERP and scheduling systems
- Working with multi-discipline teams
Physical Strain:
- Standard Bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting and reaching will all be required occasionally in this position
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Lifting 10 pounds maximum with occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds
- May be required to work at heights of up to 25 feet
- Must meet all OSHA regulations and must wear all required PPE when in the shop environment.
